Fudgy Protein Brownies
These lentils help yield the most fudgy and delicious brownies! Lentils are one of my favourite foods, because they are a fantastic fiber source. I use canned lentils in water, and rinse it 2-3 time to make sure that there is no lentil flavour in the brownies!
How Do You Make The Lentil Protein Brownies?
Ingredients:
Lentils: I use canned lentils in water
Cocoa powder: For a delicious chocolatey taste
Protein Powder: I use pea protein powder, but any protein powder works. It can also be replaces with normal cocoa powder, and you just leave out the added cocoa powder
Baking powder: For it to rise little
Melted Chocolate: You can substitute this for any nut butter if preferred
Eggs: Can be replaced with a flax or chia egg if vegan
Milk of choice: I used almond
Granulated sweetener of choice: I used erythritol
Method:
1.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
3.
Pour into a lined brownie pan and bake. Brownies should be slightly under. Place in a refrigerator over night and allow to firm up!
5 Lentil Brownie Combos
Dark chocolate: add some dark chocolate chips
Milk chocolate: add some milk chocolate chips
Hazelnut:Use chocolate hazelnut butter instead of melted chocolate
Sea salt: Add a sprinkle of sea salt for that sweet salty combo
Almond choc: Top brownies off with almonds
