Workout Crunchies

Freshly baked oat crunchy biscuits anyone?

  • 2 cups rolled OR instant oats
  • 1 cup oat flour (i make my own by pulsing oats in a blender until it forms a fine consistency)
  • 1 cup honey OR drippy sweetener of choice (pure maple syrup, rice syrup etc.)
  • 1/2 cup sliced or crushed almonds OR nuts/seeds of choice
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 2/3 cup nut butter of choice OR seed butter OR grass fed butter OR coconut oil
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract or powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

CHOC-CHUNK

  • -Use natural peanut butter
  • -1/4-1/2 cup dark chocolate chunks

CRUNCHY ALMOND

  • -Use almond butter
  • – Add 1/4 cup crushed almonds (for topping)

CRANBERRY

  • -Use almond butter
  • -top with 1/4 cup cranberries (dried)

SALTED CARAMEL

  • -Use cashew butter
  • -*Optional: add 1/4 cup chopped medjool dates
  • -Top with 1/4 cup salted cashews

HONEY

  • -Recipe as is! Just be sure to use honey as sweetener

TOASTED SESAME

  • -Use tahini in place of nut butter
  • -Top with 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds for topping
  • *use sesame seeds instead of crushed almonds
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius. Line and grease a brownie tin OR roasting tray.
  2. Mix all ingredients above in a bowl until well combined. It may look a little dry at first, but keep mixing and it should combine well (If it still seems a bit dry, it may be because of your nut butter type so you may add 1-2 tbsp milk of choice)
  3. Place mixture into the tray/tin, and press down with a spatula, spreading evenly.
  4. Top with desired toppings ( as mentioned above).
  5. Bake in the oven until golden brown ( takes between 20-30 mins)
  6. Allow to cool slightly before cutting Store in an airtight container and enjoy!
