Breakfast Overnight Oats

Firstly, I thought I would clarify on what exactly overnight oats are. It is arguably one of the easiest and tastiest ways to make oatmeal. It is a no cook method to make oatmeal, which results it a creamy and delicious texture. They usually have to be soaked for a minimum of 2 hours, but I personally prefer to make it the night before because it’s easier!

The result is almost like a pudding type consistency, and is extremely creamy and delicious (honestly like eating dessert for breakfast!).

This has to be one of my favourite breakfast options! I feel like you get all the work done before ( thrown all ingredients into a glass or jar) and BOOM you’re left with this delicious creamy bowl of goodness the next morning for the ultimate healthy breakfast! This recipe is obviously not only limited to breakfast, and you can enjoy these oats at any time of the day! With 6 flavors to choose from this festive season, you never have to get tired of the same old breakfast again!

Are The Oats Hot Or Cold?

I personally love enjoying these cold, straight out the fridge. But in colder months, some people may prefer them to be warmed up. Be sure to make the oats in a heatproof container if planning to heat up. If using yoghurt- do not heat up. Rather heat up your oats base first, then add the yoghurt on-top as a topping!

How To Make Overnight Oats:

                                                                               Ingredients for the base recipe:

Uncooked oatmeal: Rolled oats work the best!

Granulated sweetener of choice: I used a calorie free monk fruit sweetener, but any granulated sugar could work.

Greek yoghurt: I use a fat free variety, and it gives a delicious creamy texture! You could replace this with coconut yoghurt if looking for a vegan variety

Water or milk of choice: I personally use water, but any milk of choice works equally as well!

Method:

1.

Mix all ingredients in a jar/bowl/container of choice
