Chocolate Chip Cookie fries
Who doesn’t like the idea of cookie fries? I have to be honest, it mixes two of my favourite things! The shape is actually so perfect for dunking in milk, or if you’re a chocoholic like me then protein chocolate milk is always a good time! These chocolate chip cookie fries are the perfect snack! High fibre, and lower in sugar than traditional varieties, this is an absolute must.
I have actually never tried cookie fries! To be honest, something I love to do is dunk a salty french fry in some chocolate sauce. It honestly makes the best salt and sweet combination! This got me thinking, what if I were to make cookie fries. These turned out perfectly. Crispy, sweet, salty & so moreish! These chocolate chip cookie fries are the perfect snack or tea time treat!
Chocolate Chip Fries
The best baked chocolate chip cookie fries. These honestly taste like chocolate chip cookies which is perfect to dunk in milk or protein shake. If you’re looking for just normal shaped cookies, I highly recommend my ultimate chocolate chip cookies, or my chocolate chip cookie cereal!
‘How do you make protein cookie cereal?
Oat flour: I make my own by blending oats in a high speed blender to make a flour consistency.
Oil of choice: I like to use avocado oil but any oil or butter will work
Powdered Granulated sweetener of choice: I used a calorie free monk fruit sweetener, but any granulated sugar could work. To make it have a powdery texture, blend it in a high speed blender
Baking soda: Helps your cookies rise up a little
Chocolate Chips: I used both milk and dark chocolate
Eggs: Chia eggs may work, but the texture wont be the same
Vanilla extract: Adds the best flavor
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Place batter into a baking pan, and place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Line a cookie tray with baking paper. Slice into strips and place on your cookie tray. Bake for 12-15 minutes until cookies are crispy and golden.
Allow to cool and enjoy!
5 Cookie Fry Flavors
Dark chocolate: Add dark chocolate chips
Milk chocolate: Add milk chocolate chips
Chocolate drizzle: Add chocolate drizzle after baking
Peanut butter: Add a drizzle of peanut butter
Cinnamon: Top with a dash of cinnamon
Chocolate Chip Cookie Fries
- 1½ cups oat flour 156g
- ½ cup powdered granulated sweetener of choice 100g
- ⅓ cup oil of choice OR butter
- ⅓ cup chocolate chips 58g
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- In a mixing bowl, combine all your ingredients above.
- Place batter in a lined 8X8 baking pan, and spread out evenly. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius and line a cookie tray.
- Slice your batter into 28 'fries' and gently place on your cookie tray.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until fries are golden.
- Allow to cool and enjoy!
